[House, Trance, Progressive] The Blue Room Sessions

The Blue Room Sessions came about from a want for a sad mix. I wanted something with emotion and feeling, but not chill. I wanted to blend the loves that really define my style, epic house and trance (the big give away was that my sets are normally melodramatic and filled melody). I toyed with this idea for some time with nothing coming to fruition... I let it sit on the back burner as other sets were built. I simply had too many good trance and house tracks to pull from... There are masterpieces and to do justice to both genres in a single swoop is near impossible without leaving something out.

Time passed and then I got into a mixing fury. Every day I would sit at my computer and listen through tracks, pulling songs to mix and play... wheedling pieces into opuses of grandeur (I like colorful characterizations, what can I say) while my favorite genres never met properly. Finally this mix just came to me, organically and simply. It's not the robust final product of my ambition, however it is the first of many pairings of house and trance. This mix is leans more on the house side, but it's perfect for a rainy night. Enjoy!
